My first day in Cisvol was actually the day of pizza (Tuesday). I don’t know when this tradition was born, but I've already liked it. I know only it is connected with the timetable and opening times. Anyway, it was a perfect day to meet most of my colleagues who I found very nice.
What’s important, I met also my mentor, Raimonda, today. She works as a teacher and she is also strongly involved in voluntary work. That's why we've met in Cisvol :) She is my extra motivation to learn Italian quickly as well because we have some problems to communicate in English. Raimonda is a great and generous person. She offers me some help in learning Italian and I'm going to use her great experience in teaching.
The main aims of my Organisation are to communicate about voluntary work and promote it. Cisvol organize lots of training and courses for volunteers and future volunteers. Since I am here I have no doubts that volunteers do not just do the work. They make it work. That's the spirit!
